At 2nd Mission K9, we believe every capable working dog deserves the opportunity for a second mission.
Many of the dogs in our program come from military and law enforcement working dog programs after they were released for reasons unrelated to their ability to serve. Others are carefully selected rescues with the temperament and drive to serve a greater purpose.
Through rehabilitation, training, and purposeful placement, these dogs become ambassadors, educational partners, and future assistance dogs, helping veterans, first responders, survivors, and communities build connection, confidence, and hope.

At 2nd Mission Equine, we believe every horse deserves the opportunity for a second mission.
Our program partners with horses from a variety of backgrounds—including Mustangs, donated horses, and horses seeking a renewed purpose. Through patient training, trust, and purposeful placement, these horses become partners in helping veterans, first responders, survivors, and families find healing, confidence, and hope.
Horses have an incredible ability to reveal character, build trust, and teach lessons that words often cannot. As they discover a renewed purpose, they help others discover theirs.
We believe healing begins with connection, purpose is built through trust, and every journey is an opportunity for a new beginning.

Echoes of Legacy
At Echoes of Legacy, we believe every story deserves to be heard and every life of service deserves to be remembered.
Our program brings trained working dogs and volunteers into nursing homes and assisted living communities to create meaningful connections with residents, especially veterans. Through conversation, companionship, and shared experiences, we honor the lives, sacrifices, and legacies of those who came before us.
Every visit is an opportunity to listen, encourage, and remind someone that their life and service continue to matter. As stories are shared and memories are preserved, we ensure that the legacy of one generation continues to inspire the next.
