Donations in Action

Church of the Highlands
Church of the Highlands chose 2nd Mission Alliance to be apart of one of their serve days. With their donation of man power and building supplies we were able to build 5 new stalls for our horses!

Auburn Pressure Washing
Auburn Pressure Washing donated a palate of 4×4’s. With that we were able to extend our fence line and make repairs where needed for our horses pastures.

United Rentals
United Rentals donated a skid steer for us to use on the property for four weeks. With the skid steer we were able to clear and level land to extend working areas for our animals and volunteers.

Martin Marrietta
Martin Marrietta donated 120 tons of gravel. With the gravel we were able to clear smooth our roads out making it easier for visitors and volunteers to access the entire farm with their vehicles.

Alabama Power
Alabama Power regularly donates retired telephone poles. With the repurposing of these telephone poles we have been able to extend and reinforce our fence line and use them as fortifiers for new small build projects on the property.

Church of the Highlands
Church of the Highlands chose 2nd Mission Alliance for a second serve day. With that serve day we were able to clear even more land and cleanup a massive amount of debris that had accumulated after a week of severe storms. This cleanup made our pastures, roads, and work areas safe again!

AGX
AGX cleared and leveled a new path around the farm. With this they made a second driveway/ path for us making it easier for staff and volunteers to get to and from our barns and expanded the areas where we can work with our animals.

Southern Union Vet Tech Program
Southern Union Vet Tech Program partnered with us in having a lab day on the farm. Through this we were able to provide a safe and controlled hands on experience to students while they gave our horses vaccines and check ups!

Opelika Police Department
Opelika Police Department played a major role in keeping our horses safe by contacting us and dispatching multiple officers while controlling traffic after our herd got out through a damaged fence.
